We have moved!

My husband and I have relocated back to Saskatchewan so he can farm full time and I was offered a great position at Farm Credit Canada. So at the moment, we have sold our house in Alberta and looking for a permanent home in Regina. We were so sad to leave Alberta and will miss all of our dear friends but very excited to be close to the farm and family.

The last month for Martin Munchies has been busy! Well, for starters, I have changed jobs and moved to a new province. About a couple weeks ago, we attended the Alberta Gift Show in Edmonton and the reception of our new product was awesome! Thank you to all of the retailers who made orders for Martin Munchies!!!
Then, Martin Munchies was featured in Grain News. Patti Milligan, a fellow Downtown Edmonton Farmers' Market Vendor wrote such a great article about our product. Check out the article!!!
Now we are getting ready for a few more production runs to keep up to demand of orders and upcoming shows, while also preparing for spring, which is right around the corner.
My husband, Matt and I are very excited to be back in Saskatchewan so we can participate more on the farm and with our family.

What a great Canada Day! Matt and I enjoyed the day while taking part in the Sherwood park festivities. There was so much to do for all ages - pancake breakfast, face painting, petting zoo, concert, fireworks and of course a farmer's market. It's nice to celebrate Canada day with selling a Canadian product. I also enjoyed the mini donuts and kettlecorn :)
It's busy right for us. We are busy with the two markets - Sherwood Park, and Edmonton Downtown. Sales are so good right now, the family back in Saskatchewan is having to do a few production runs. We ran out of the salty kinds a few weeks ago so our customers are really wanting the new batch soon. We are also busy working with the AB government to improve the recipe, which is very exciting.
I hope everyone's summer is off to a bright start. if your in the area, stop by and say "hi" at the market.

This year is going to be a busy year and we are very excited. The Farmer's market season is right around the corner and we will be participating in the Sherwood Park Farmer's Markets on Wednesday evenings and the Edmonton Downtown Farmer's Market on Saturdays.
One big show just around the corner is the Spring 2010 Butterdome Sale at the Edmonton Butterdome. Event takes place on April 30 to May 2 and brings in over 10,000 people. It will be our first time so it will be exciting for us.
Because we are attending so many events and sales have increased, we have scheduled another production run in mid-April. We are also working with the Alberta Food Center to refine our product, based on our customer's feedback.

Christmas is around the corner

I can't believe it is almost the middle of November already. Stores have Christmas tunes blaring and christmas decorations up. We've been busy the last few with Martin Munchies preparing for the Christmas season because we have a few shows to attend as well as orders to fill. We attended our first local show. Thank you to everyone who purchased from us. We also attended a show in Humboldt which was exciting.
Now, Sun Dog in Saskatoon is right around the corner and we can't wait. This show is one of the best shows in the province to attend and take part in. I have to remember to only bring cash though to this event :).
If wanting some stocking ideas, Martin Munchies could be a great gift. We are receiving alot of Christmas orders, so if wanting some presents, please get your order in soon so we can guarantee we will have the product.

Thank you for checking out our new website. VDC in Saskatoon helped us create this website that we are very proud of, and which displays what Martin Munchies is all about.
It was a very busy summer. We launched the product, sold it at farmer's markets, and took part in a couple of trade shows. Business is picking up with orders from both retailers and customers.
Now, we are currently trying to get ready for the busy Christmas season. We are selling at shows in Watrous, Humboldt and Saskatoon before Christmas. Please check out our new site and let us know what you think. Also, any feedback about our product is greatly appreciated.
